I can’t believe the next time I have a session with these two they’ll be celebrating their first birthday!! The time goes too quickly. But each time I see them they get cuter and cuter. Here are some comparisons of Mr. M and Miss I from their first session to today.

If Saturday was a good weather day, Sunday was the perfect fall day. It was warm, the sun was shining and the colors were specatacular. I had the pleasure of capturing memories for three gorgeous families.

The “K” Family – A pocketful of candy brought out the cutest smiles in these little ones!

The “H” Family – big, beautiful, brown eyes and tons of giggles! What a fun trio!

The “V” Family – It’s been so fun to watch these kids grow. Mr. V was celebrating his first birthday and I hadn’t seen him since he was six months. They grow up too fast.

Mother Nature finally smiled down on us for a solid weekend! With all the rain the first weekend I had scheduled sessions, everyone got bumped to this weekend. What a wild weekend!! But it was so fun. On Saturday I had seven mini sessions and the backdrop of fall colors was perfect.

The “S” Family – A great start to the day! These boys were go, go, go and so fun!

The “E” Family – I did little C’s one year portraits this summer. She’s grown so much, but still has that contagious smile!!

The “P” Family – Thanks to Grandma playing with my pigtails behind the camera, these two munchkins giggled fantastically for the camera. Even Mom and Dad couldn’t hold back a giggle.

Thanks to everyone for making my first fall mini sessions such a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be looking forward to doing it again next year and seeing how much everyone grows in the next year!

The weather finally cooperated!! I originally had two weekends of mini sessions scheduled for October, but Mother Nature had other plans. Our first weekend was severely rained out and I had my fears about our second being snowed out. But Wednesday proved to be a good day for fall portraits!

Here is the T Family with their beautiful 3-month-old C. I couldn’t coax a smile out of her, but at least we found ways to entertain her between shots to keep the tears away. Such a sweetie! Here are a couple of sneak peeks from their session.

I stepped back a bit this month to concentrate on my family, school starting, and being 100% caught up on past sessions before things get insane in October. I can’t wait!!! I have a couple open sessions left the first weekend, but that’s okay. It’s a great jumping off point for my first round of fall mini sessions.

So, during my hiatis I celebrated my 9th anniversary on 9/9/09. Then I celebrated my 30th birthday with my two best friends who surprised me with a hotel room at Black Bear Casino. We had a blast!! And my mom threw a birthday brunch Labor Day weekend for my entire family with the theme of 30 ways to cook with/eat chocolate. OMG it was wonderful!!!

So, that’s it in a nutshell. I plan to be back in the swing of things after the first of the month. Thank you to my faithful readers… you guys rock!!

Here’s another full session of one of my willing test models from this spring. E was up for anything and I had a great time trying some new shots with him. He wanted to incorporate his shotgun and the shooting range into a few of his shots which made it fun and interesting. No worries, he’s not actually pointing AT me and no photographers were harmed in the making of this session! )

I can’t wait!!!

My little Emilee has an extreme allergy to cameras. At least, that’s what I figure it is with the way she runs from them the minute they’re pointed at her in any way. But I’ve been on a mission this month. I was going to do a 2 year session with my little princess one way or another. So, after I did the formal portrait session for one of my seniors this evening, I recruited Nana and we FINALLY got some good shots. I thought I’d share!

Back in February I took Miss K’s one year portraits. She wasn’t walking yet, but could stand holding onto something or someone. But she still had quite the little personality.

Six months later, Miss K’s mommy and daddy joined us for an 18-month/family session. K still has that wonderful personality, but now she’s on the go go go! The world is her playground and she only slowed down for seconds at a time. A bit of candy as a bribe and constant scene changes helped us to capture Miss K at her best.
